Participants came from the Sahel countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Chad), Algeria and Morocco. They examined the mechanisms and specific contributions of intercultural and interfaith dialogue to<br \/>\nlasting peace in the Sahel.
